Harbhajan slaps Sreesanth, leaves him crying on ground (Video)

Mohali, Apr 26: After Indian Premier League (IPL) match between Punjabs Kings XI and Mumbai Indians last evening, a comment passed by Kings XI paceman Sreesanth to Mumbai Indians captain Harbhajan Singh offended him so much so that he slapped the former.

After the incident, perhaps a first in the history of cricket, the fast bowler who otherwise is known for his on-the-field aggression, was seen crying bitterly on the ground.

Off-spinner Harbhajan, however, had a long chat with Sreesanth in the dressing room of the Punjab team and is even believed to have apologised for his behaviour.

Harbhajan chose not to speak on the issue when he came to address the post match conference.

Reacting to the incident, Kings XI Punjab captain Yuvraj Singh said, “This is really an ugly incident. You do not want to see such things off the field especially after such a win. I am pretty upset at what has happened. This is totally unacceptable.”

Meanwhile, pending report from the team management, Punjab Kings XI is expected to lodge an official complaint on the incident.

This was Punjab Kings XIs first victory in three IPL matches, beating Mumbai Indians convincingly by 66 run victory.

  1. yuvraj allowed that to happen? the other players allowed that to happen? everyone have gone bloody mad!! harbhajan would never think of doing such non sense against a player from australia, west indies, england etc.

  2. wat bhajji did is so shocking and we,his fans, hadnt expected so from him.being a senior he sud guide juniors but instead of guiding juniors he is trying to make juniors run out of the field.but, sreeshanth is great that,he didnt go for more tu tu me me with bhajji.usko kehte hein sahamta jo bhajji mein nahin hei.

  3. Slap gate! What a horrible thing to happen to my most favourite cricketer on my birthday last year.. I find that disgraceful for bhajji and its unfair that he’s playing in this years IPL here in SA, while Sreesanth cant play due to injuries! Missing Sree!
