According to a survey, only five per cent of all Australian men regularly play a game of football with their friends, almost 50 per cent admit it has been months since they tinkered with their car and shed ownership has dropped 27 per cent over the course of a generation.
On the flipside, concern for skin care is growing and Australian men are not afraid to wear pink.
Cleansing with face wash was practised by 44 per cent and one per cent more used moisturiser.
Almost a third said they owned an item of pink clothing.
Rugby league legend and survey commissioner Kirks Brewed Ginger Beer spokesman, Mal Meninga, is outraged by the findings.
“Australian men should be ashamed of themselves … we’ve become a nation of pansies.
“It’s time to toughen up and get real - otherwise our nation runs the risk of turning into a joke.”

The poor run of the Bangalore Royal Challengers has started to take its toll.
The first man to be sacked is CEO Charu Sharma who has been asked to leave his position. His place will be taken by Brijesh Patel who is the secretary of the Karnataka State Cricket Association and a former India batsman.
The next man to go is Venkatesh Prasad, who is also the bowling coach of the Indian team.
The drastic steps were taken by Mallya after Tuesday’s game against Kings XI Punjab when they were bowled out for a mere 126 at home.

Scarlett Keeling, a 15-year-old girl, was raped and murdered at Goa’s Anjuna beach in February, triggering criticism of the police and highlighting the lack of safety for tourists in India.
The new film, “Rave Party”, will have song and dance sequences on Goa’s pristine beaches, and will include a scene depicting the last few minutes of Keeling’s life when police say she was raped and left to die in the shallow waters.
The director says he has already approached Katrina Kaif to play the protagonist in his film.
Fiona McKeown, Scarlett’s mother, expressed concerns about the project, which she said would make “a mockery” of her daughter’s life.

You get to help keep people healthy and cure them when they’re sick. Prestige is high as is the pay.
The Reality: Fewer and fewer patients see their physicians as godlike, especially those whose first instinct is to go online for medical information. Doctors are spending less time than ever with patients and more on paperwork. Insurers keep hacking away at physician costs.
And those are just the new problems. This career has long had other liabilities. The training spans more than a decade. After completing all that, there’s usually the ongoing stress of managing your office, trying to care for noncompliant patients, giving unsuspecting patients bad news, and seeing some get sicker and die.

Indian Premier League Chairman Lalit Modi on Sunday welcomed Shoaib Akhtar in the ongoing Twenty20 tournament after a Pakistani appeal tribunal suspended the five-year ban on the maverick speedster for a month, paving way for his participation in the IPL.

“Our condition (to allow him play in IPL) was that the ban must be lifted or suspended. In that effect, Shoaib is now allowed to play in the IPL. We’ve spoken to him and he should be coming to India in the next two days,” Modi said.
“Shoaib was very happy and he is looking forward to it. He has been calling me on a daily basis. Shoaib joining the Kolkata Knight Riders squad would also add sheen to the tournament,” Modi said.
“It’s a great moment for us because he is a great asset for IPL. He has got a huge fan base in India and the Knight Riders are extremely happy. I spoke to (Knight Riders owner) Shah Rukh (Khan), he is very happy. He wanted Shoaib to come for one day at least. We are happy that Shoaib can now play for him,” Modi added.
Modi said the pacer could play the next match for the Kolkata outfit, even though it was upto the team management to take a final call on the issue.
“He’s free to play from the next match itself but it would depend on when he gets down here. The trainer and physio will check him, the coach would go through the process. So whether he would play the next match or not, it’s for the Knight Riders to decide,” Modi said.

“I am a lover of good sports and music. It is the secret of my cheerfulness. I have a special affinity towards cricket. But till now only cricket was played on the field. However, now things are changing with the bringing of cheer girls to seduce the crowd,” the Sena chief said in an editorial in the party mouthpiece Samana. He said when cricketers such as Polly Umrigar, Dilip Sardesai, Ajit Wadekar, Salim Durrani and Sunil Gavaskar used to go on the
cricket field, the whole stadium used to become “cheerful.” Nobody felt the need to bring dancers. But now one does not know whether people are coming to watch the cricket or to see the cheer girls, he said adding it had degenerated cricket.

Mr. Thackeray also questioned the Maharashtra government’s reluctance to stop the “naked dance”.
